The award is organised with the objective to recognise the excellence of organisations in the sphere of the environment and to acknowledge their commitment towards the social well being of the people and the planet.

Consultivo is the knowledge partner of the Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC) Environment Excellence Award 2018, held on 23 November 2018 at Kolkata for the 3rd consecutive year. The theme of this 12th Environment Partnership Summit by ICC was PPP (People Planet Profit) aiming towards sustainable development.

The Environment Excellence Award is one of the most coveted & prestigious recognitions that an organisation strives to achieve for environment management and commitment towards the social well being of the people and the planet.

A jury panel including eminent business leaders, environment professionals, economists, management experts, judges and other eminent personalities judged the applications that were divided into three categories, namely, Large Business Organisations, Medium Business Organisations, and Small Business Organisations. The awards to the winners & runners-up along with special appreciation awards were presented by Patti Hoffman & Yaduvendra Mathur.

Winner: Bharat Aluminium Co. Ltd. (Korba, Chhatisgarh)

For Medium Business Organisation –

Manufacturing & Process (Including Power Plants)

Winner: UAL Bengal- Kharagpur

Services (Banks/Ports/Real Estates/Consulting/Its/Hotels) –

Winner: Tata Consultancy Services, Kochi

Runner-up: WIPRO LTD., Saltlake, Sector V , Kolkata

Consultivo, being the Knowledge Partner of this award, provided the framework with relevant technical support and organised it in terms of –

Preparation of guidelines and application form
Evaluation of applications
Presentation of the evaluation reports in front of the jury panel
Preparation of score sheet format
Suggestion of suitable and senior industry representatives for the jury panel

The entire assessment procedure including application evaluation, presentation by the applicants, scoring, on-site visit to the short-listed applicants was coordinated by ICC and Consultivo.

The environment excellence award gives the organisations an opportunity to be recognised for their efforts towards excellence as well as provides an analysis on their practices and performance in environmental management. This event provides a platform to spread environmental awareness as well as motivates the organisations/industries towards sustainable economical development.
