Haldia Petrochemicals Ltd. organised a workshop on Sustainable Development, Reporting and Excellence as part of the World Environment Week celebrations. Consultivo was chosen as the knowledge partner to provide a subject matter expert for the workshop. The workshop was attended by senior management of the plant, HODs and other executives from HPL. As a subject matter expert, Saikat Basu, CEO & Chief Mentor of Consultivo was the speaker for the workshop.
The program explained the elements of Responsible Business and highlighted the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) laid by the United Nations. In September 2015, all 193 Member States of the United Nations adopted a plan for achieving a better future for all – laying out a path over the next 15 years to end extreme poverty, fight inequality & injustice and protect our planet. At the heart of “Agenda 2030” are the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) which clearly define the world we want – applying to all nations and leaving no one behind.
The program was appreciated by all the participants as they got a clear idea on organisation roles in Sustainable Development and the ways to communicate to their stakeholders through a reporting mechanism.
