Inauguration of Indian Society for Training & Development (ISTD) Chapter in Shillong

The Indian Society for Training & Development (ISTD) having more than 50 Chapters all over India, unveiled a new Chapter in Shillong on 8 September 2018. The MoU was signed in the presence of eminent dignitaries Dr Prasanna Kumar (Chairman, MGNCRE), Dr Henry Mapin (Pro Vice Chancellor, NEHU) along with Dr Ruma Gomes (ISTD, RVP – East), Dr Nataraj Ray (NVP, ISTD), Dr R Karthikeyan (NP, ISTD), Dr Mipun (HOD, Geography Dept, NEHU).
This MoU has been signed by ISTD and MGNCRE with the objective to promote education and sustainable development for rural livelihoods in the north east.

The ISTD, established in April 1970, is a national level professional & non-profit society registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860. It has a large membership of individuals and institutions involved in the area of training and development of human resource from government, public and private sector organisation & enterprises; educational and training institutions and other professional bodies.
ISTD organises training programs, all over the country both at Chapter and National Levels. The programmes cover selected areas of HRD with special emphasis on Training of Trainers, Training Goals & Objectives and Training Tools & Technologies.
